  • Wrong answer: −0.25 mark.
  • Marking more than one option counts as a wrong answer.
  • Unanswered question: 0 marks.

Category 2 · 15 questions

One or more correct options.

  • Select all correct options, and no incorrect ones: +2 marks.
  • Select any incorrect option: 0 marks.
  • Select only some correct options: proportional credit.
  • Unanswered question: 0 marks. No negative marking.

Partial credit = 2 × correct options selected ÷ all correct options. Example: selecting 1 of 2 correct options, with no wrong option, earns 1 mark.

Language and answer sheet

The bulletin specifies English and Bengali questions, except Basic English, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge. Answer by filling the appropriate OMR bubbles with a blue or black ballpoint pen; marked responses cannot be changed.

Nursing college eligibility

Under the 2026 rules, government B.Sc. Nursing colleges admit female candidates. Private nursing colleges include female-admitting institutions and a few institutions for male candidates only. Check the eligible colleges in the seat matrix.

What is this course for?

This medhaup course is for students preparing for WBJEEB’s JENPAS(UG) entrance examination for undergraduate nursing, allied health sciences and hospital administration courses in West Bengal.

Which paper should I prepare for?

In the 2026 bulletin, Paper I is for all listed courses except BHA, including B.Sc. Nursing, and produces the General Merit Rank (GMR). Paper II is for BHA only and produces the BHA Merit Rank (BMR). You can apply for one paper or both, subject to the relevant course eligibility.

Does Paper I include Health Aptitude?

Yes. The 2026 Paper I has Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English and Health Aptitude. Health Aptitude carries 20 questions for 20 marks. Logical Reasoning is a Paper II subject in this bulletin.

How many questions and marks are there?

Each paper in the WBJEEB 2026 scheme has 100 multiple-choice questions for 115 marks, to be answered in 90 minutes on an OMR sheet. Category 1 has negative marking of one-quarter mark per wrong answer. Category 2 has two-mark questions and permits partial credit when only correct options are selected.

Is this the same as the ANM/GNM entrance course?
