The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL 2025 First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) result, bringing the recruitment process very close to its final stage.

SSC says 13,395 Tier-II candidates submitted post preferences and were considered for the further selection process.

Is SSC CHSL 2025 Final Result Out? No.

Several websites and social-media posts are calling the August 17 result the “SSC CHSL 2025 Final Result.”

That is technically incorrect.

SSC's own result notice clearly states:

“Declaration of First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA)”

The 3,515 candidates listed are provisionally recommended for Identity Verification, not finally appointed candidates.

SSC's sliding framework expressly says the final result will be issued after vacancies arising from Identity Verification absentees are identified and FLOAT candidates are considered for a single reallocation round.

How Many Candidates Have Been Selected in SSC CHSL 2025 FRTA?

SSC has provisionally recommended:

3,515 candidates

against:

3,522 vacancies.

Therefore, seven vacancies were not filled in the First Round of Tentative Allocation.

Which Posts Are Covered Under SSC CHSL 2025?

The CHSL recruitment includes posts such as:

What Happens If You Do Not Attend Sliding / Identity Verification?

This is extremely important.

SSC states clearly that:

Any candidate who fails to physically attend the Sliding / Identity Verification process will be treated as absent and will not be considered for the final result.

Therefore:

There is no benefit in being provisionally allocated a post if you do not complete the mandatory next stage.

What Is FIX in SSC CHSL Sliding?

During Identity Verification, candidates will have to choose between:

and

FLOAT.

Accept the currently allotted post as final and do not seek any higher preference.

A FIX candidate will not be considered for an upgrade.

What Is FLOAT in SSC CHSL? FLOAT means:

SSC will identify vacancies created because some FRTA candidates fail to attend Identity Verification.

FLOAT should not be selected casually.

SSC's rules state that if a FLOAT candidate receives an upgraded post, the candidate must join the upgraded post.

“Would I really accept any higher preference that becomes available?”

Can You Choose a New Post Preference During Sliding?

The sliding system is not a completely new post-choice exercise.

Once a slot is booked, it is treated as final.

How Was the SSC CHSL 2025 FRTA Merit Prepared?

SSC has clearly explained the merit calculation.

The FRTA is based on:

Aggregate marks in Section-I + Section-II of Tier-II

subject to qualifying:

Section-III — Computer Knowledge Test

and

Section-IV — Skill Test / Typing Test.

Skill Test Cut-Off for DEO Grade ‘A’

For DEO Grade ‘A’, the permitted percentage of mistakes is:

Again, this Skill Test is qualifying in nature.

Remember:

An upgraded FLOAT candidate must accept the upgraded allocation. When Will SSC CHSL 2025 Final Result Be Released?

SSC has not announced an exact final-result date.

The mandatory physical Sliding / Identity Verification process is scheduled for:

1–3 September 2026.

After this:

SSC will identify vacancies created by absent candidates. FLOAT candidates will be considered for one sliding round. Updated allocations will be prepared. The final result will be declared.

Therefore, the final result can only come after the sliding process, not before it.

Will There Be Multiple Sliding Rounds? No.

SSC says:

Only one sliding round will be conducted.

There will not be multiple waiting-list or upgrade rounds under this mechanism.

That makes the September verification process particularly important.

What Happens to Vacancies of Absent Candidates?

If a provisionally recommended candidate does not attend Identity Verification, SSC will treat that candidate as absent.

The vacancy can then enter the single sliding/reallocation process for eligible FLOAT candidates.

This is the main purpose of the new Sliding Mechanism.

What Happens After Final Result?

Once the final result is declared:

final allocations become binding; e-dossiers are forwarded to the respective User Departments; departments complete the final document-verification and appointment formalities.

Therefore, SSC's final recommendation does not mean a candidate can ignore later departmental verification.

Eligibility must still be established through the required documents.

SSC CHSL 2025 Final Answer Key and Marks

SSC states that the representations submitted against Tier-II tentative answer keys were examined and the keys were modified wherever necessary.

The resulting final answer keys have already been used for evaluation of the FRTA.

However, SSC says:

Final Answer Keys and detailed marks of selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded in due course.

So candidates should not confuse the FRTA PDF's post-wise cut-off information with their individual detailed scorecard.
